Yael Andrews has only known life as half empty, abandoned the day of her birth at a fire station. He’d made it; the boy from the West Side of Chicago came down south and got a good job dining with the elite and had a successful, gorgeous woman by his side. However, it was not enough, it only made him hunger for more materialistic items, more women, just more. Greed had meticulously infected him like an autoimmune disease. His poisonous behavior had already claimed one innocent life. What should have changed Jemetti and made him a better man, a man of God, only fueled his narcissistic nature. He hurt the woman who loved him, and he continued to do so even after she implored him to stop. Why? Jemetti knew that Yael would never leave him. Yael would argue, threaten, become enraged, but she’d never leave because she had no place to go. Besides, her place was with him and only him.
