Y. Deonna is a native of South Carolina, and at an early age, she discovered her love of reading and writing. Fascinated by how authors created exciting and uplifting stories and knew she would one day do the same.
Y. Deonna completed her undergraduate education at Carson-Newman University and her graduate education at the University of Pittsburgh #H2P. She desires to fuse her education, faith, and advocacy to create empowering stories that engage and educate readers. Writing Urban Christian Fiction novels is part of her ministry and advocacy.
After the successful debut of her first novel, Deception Has A Name, and several others, Y. Deonna challenged herself even more. In 2018, she founded Crown Ruby Publishing & Literary Services.
